Who would have thought that Nevada, a dry and arid western state shot full of desert sand and perennially covered in blistering heat, would be the gambling capital of the world? Nevada, also known as the Silver State, was ushered into Statehood in October 14, 1864. Mining was the main source of livelihood of Nevada denizens, and miners whiled away their time by gambling. In 1909 however, as part as a nationwide anti-gambling crusade, gambling was outlawed. A decrease in mining output in the 1920’s followed by the Great Depression compelled authorities to legalize gambling and the ban was lifted on March 19, 1931. After that date, the rest is history.

Visitors at Nevada come in all shapes and sizes, but the ones that carry the most weight and are the most visible are the high-rollers. High rollers are the gamblers who can afford to risk hundreds of thousands of dollars in one roll of a die. Everyone knows who the high rollers are – they are the ones that travel in style.

You too can make the casino rounds just like the high-rollers do. You may not be the big winner, but you can definitely look like one.
